Author Guidelines
Scope
Majalah Kulit, Karet, dan Plastic (Journal of Leather, Rubber and Plastics) publishes original research focused on materials, processes, and waste management in the field of leather, rubber, and plastics.
Language
Manuscript intended for a publication should be written in English (Preferred) or Indonesian.

Manuscript Structure
The manuscript should not more than 20 pages. It should be prepared on A4 paper (210 mm x 297 mm) using 35 cm for left margin and 30 cm for the top, bottom, and right margins Pages should be numbered consecutively, including those containing acknowledgments and references.
The typescript should be arranged as follows.
Title. Titles should be brief, informative, and no more than 15 words. The title of the paper must be single spaced in 15 pt bold Arial and be centered.
Authors. A list of authors' full names with names and full addresses of institutions. The name of the correspondence author is indicated using an asterisk. Email address, fax number, and current address, if different from above, should be provided.
Abstract. The abstract must not exceed 200 words. The abstract must be 1.5 spaced in 10 pt Times New Roman and be justified.
Keywords. List between 3 to 5 words or short phrases in alphabetical order. The keywords must be single spaced in 10 pt Times New Roman and be justified.
Introduction. Outline the essential background, the state of the art, and explain the purpose of carrying out the work.
Materials and methods. Provide sufficient details of the techniques employed to enable the work to be reproduced. When a special piece of equipment has been used it should be described so that the reader can trace its specifications by contacting the manufacturer.
Results and Discussion. State the results and draw attention in the text to important details shown in tables and figures. Point out the significance of the results in relation to the reasons for doing the work, and place them in the context of other work. Please highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers.
Conclusions. It should answer the objectives of the research. Tells how your work advances the field from the present state of knowledge.
Acknowledgements. Acknowledgment is to be given to persons or organizations helping the authors in technical and/or financial support.
The Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, and Acknowledgement must be 1.5 spaced in 11 pt Times New Roman and be justified.
References. Cite the main scientific publications on which your work is based. Avoid excessive self‐citations. The number of references should be at least ten, and 80% of which should be from primary source publications (journals, proceeding, or dissertation) from the last ten years. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, etc. Citation and Reference are written according to APA style. The references must be single spaced in 10 pt Times New Roman and be justified.
Tables. Each table should be numbered and accompanied by a title at the top. They should be referred to in the text as Table 1, etc. See example below.

Figures Each figure should be numbered and accompanied by a title at the bottom. They should be referred to in the text as Fig. 1, etc. See example below.

Equations. Equations should be numbered serially within parentheses as shown in Equation (1). The equation should be prepared using Equation Editor (not in image format).
Pre-submission editing
Papers must reach certain standards before referees are asked to consider them. Submissions that are not in the correct format or printed reliably may, therefore, be returned to authors without review.
Authors for whom English is a second language may wish to consider having their manuscript professionally edited before submission to improve the English.
