Sintesis Senyawa Berbasis Gadolinium Menggunakan Gliseril Monooleat Sebagai Ligan Dan Potensinya Sebagai Contrast Agents

Abstract


Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) merupakan salah satu teknik diagnosis yang paling banyak digunakan di bidang kedokteran. Agar diperoleh visibilitas yang baik, digunakan contrast agents namun terkadang kontras yang dihasilkan masih rendah, sehingga diperlukan dosis contrast agents lebih tinggi agar diperoleh kontras optimum. Untuk mengatasi keterbatasan tersebut, dilakukan pembuatan contrast agents berbasis Gadolinium (Gd) menggunakan Gliseril Monooleat (GMO) sebagai ligan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan sintesis GMO, kompleksasi Gd-GMO, pengukuran turbiditas mikroemulsi, serta pengukuran waktu relaksasi T2 GMO dan Gd-GMO menggunakan alat Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). Hasil sintesis 2,2-dimetil-1,3-dioksolana gliserol menghasilkan rendemen 82,6%, sedangkan dari hasil sintesis GMO diperoleh rendemen 94,2%. Hasil pengukuran waktu relaksasi T2, Gd-GMO menghasilkan waktu relaksasi T2 lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan GMO sebesar 15,4% sampai dengan 32,7%. Data waktu relaksasi T2 tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Gd-GMO berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai contrast agents.
